At Texas Neurology, we offer diagnosis and treatment in several specialty areas:
There is no such thing as a regular headache. Headaches can be classified based on their characteristics and features as either primary or secondary.
SInce 1993, our MS Center has provided state-of-the-art neurological consultation and care for persons with Multiple Sclerosis in North Texas and the surrounding area. In addition to clinical activities, the MS Center is dedicated to all phases of clinical research for new, high-potential MS treatments from first-in-man Phase I through final Phase III studies for FDA review.
The Electrodiagnostic Clinic at Texas Neurology is staffed by board certified neurologists with additional subspecialty training and board certifications in both EMG and Neuromuscular Medicine and provides the following services to referring physicians and patients: Electromyography (EMG) StudiesNeurological Consultation with EMG Electrodiagnostic studies can assist with establishing a diagnosis, as well as identify other relevant problems, define the severity and chronicity of the disorder, and/or provide information useful for recovery, prognosis, and treatment.
The
Sleep Disorders Center provides comprehensive evaluation and management of adult patients with sleep disorders. Working in tandem with your physician, our trained staff will monitor and record the data needed to make the proper diagnosis and suggest the appropriate treatment plan.
In addition to sleep studies, our services include a weekly sleep clinic that provides formal consultation, follow-up and management of various sleep disorders. According to the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke, about 40 million people in the United States suffer from chronic, long-term sleep disorders, and an additional 20 million people suffer occasional sleep problems.
To help patients and their physicians in the evaluation of sleep disorders, we offer several questionnaires to be used in the diagnosis process. Contact our office to review which forms are best suited to your needs.
Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS) is also known as Lou Gehrig’s disease and motor neuron disease. It is a slowly progressive neurodegenerative disease producing weakness of the muscles. Almost any part of the body can be affected, including the muscles of the arms, legs, speech, swallowing or breathing. The ALS Clinic at Texas Neurology is sponsored by the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA). This clinic typically occurs one Friday each month. The purpose of the clinic is to allow ALS patients and caregivers to get help at one convenient location, rather than make the needed multiple visits to numerous health care providers. (
